Pot 1:
Manchester United
PSG
Roma
Barca
Mancester City
Besiktas
Tottenham
Pot2:
Basel
Bayern
Chelsea
Juve
Real
Group E:
Favourites have to be Liverpool (Pot 1) and Sevilla(Pot2) to advance. Liverpool plays Spartak (who only has 1 away point from Maribor) at Anfield and Sevilla plays at Maribor. If Liverpool wins, both are 1-2 no matter the other result.
Group F:
Manchester City (15p) is through. Shaktar has to lose at home vs.City and Napoli has to win at Feyenoord. Then both teams would be tied at 9p with Napoli winning the head to head and advancing. Seems a bit unlikely but possible.
Group G:
Besiktas (11p) is first, no matter what. They play at Leipzig (7p) and Porto(7p) plays at home vs. Monaco(2p) who are out. If Porto wins or gets the same result as Leipzig, they are through as 2nd, as they win the head to head. I would think Porto is the heavy favourite to advance as the 2nd team here.
Group H:
Tottenham 1st (Pot 1), Real 2nd (Pot2), Dortmund and Apoel lose it out who goes to the Euro League.
This seems to bring some more big name and hopefully some action-packed matches for round of last 16, instead of last years, where the real drama happened in quarterfinals most of the time. Never too early to look ahead and it seems like with Bayern, Chelsea, Juve and Real as teams in Pot 2 with possibly Sevilla/Liverpool/Spartak, Shaktar/Napoli, Porto/Leipzig joining Basel, this will bring more than one great match.
There will be at least 3, possibly 4 matchups with only big-name teams (say PSG vs Chelsea, Bayern vs. Barca, Juve vs.Manchester United, etc.), WOW! That looks good, so far.
