During training camp I remember Brick talking about how Pastrnak knows he a target especially in the playoffs, and needed to get stronger, so he really ramped up his strength training this summer. I figured it was typical “best shape of his life” bs that you get at the start of every season for every team, but it sure seems like he’s legitimately stronger this year.No joke, it’s been a real treat watching Pasta grow up a little this year. He’s really using his body & feels stronger on his skates. It’s showing.
He is playing drunkenly. Even the tip was off a shot that was too high.JFC Lindholm, be stronger on the puck. That was abysmal.
That did not help. At all.it's nailbiter territory. How about easing the anxiety, eh boys?
He isn't even ineffective right now, he's a liability.Jesus christ Lindholm
Wouldn't mind him getting a night off (or two) especially with the emergence of Wotherspoon. He isn't even ineffective right now, he's a liability.
The all star break might do him some good. Maybe sit him for the Philly game on Saturday afternoon to give him a couple extra days. Something is up with him.Wouldn't mind him getting a night off (or two) especially with the emergence of Wotherspoon.
That's fair enough, and everything I have noticed has been by the eye test, so you are probably right. It just feels like something is off, I don't really know what it is.FWIW, Lindholm's underlyings are basically the best on the team.
When he's on the ice at 5x5 they are outscoring opponents 37-23. He plays 24 minutes a night, usually against the other teams top lines. He's top 4 in expected goals against/60, shots against/60, scoring chances and high danger chances against/60 and only gets 41% ozone starts. I guess PIM's are up but he's playing almost a minute more per game this year than last. His points are down compared to last year but that's probably an outlier, he's right in line with what he was doing most of the time in Anaheim.
I don't know. I don't see how he's a liability or in need of time off when they are +14 with him on the ice at even strength and +7 at all strengths.
Thanks for the numbers. Like @LogansDad, its only my eyes that say something's a bit off.FWIW, Lindholm's underlyings are basically the best on the team.
