    Tanner Houck... CY candidate? Utterly dominant start to the year. Barely walking anyone, Ks are rising again, pitching deep into games. Third time through the order OPS is only .614 (41 PAs).

    Sale with his 3rd straight start with 7 innings. Velocity is still good, averaging almost 95mph. He’s still very good when healthy.

    Casas has a left rib fracture. Transferred to the 60 Day IL on 4/27.

    I know Kavadas is not on the 40-man but he seems to be the perfect replacement. He’s a lefty with power who’s been playing first base. He’s been decent so far in AAA and has had enough reps. In 60 games in AAA he has an OPS of .882.

    The last 15 games has been crazy. He flipped a switch. He's better in every facet: driving, dishing, finishing, shooting. It's one of the most ridiculous things I've seen.

    A crazy idea would be to penalise teams if their pitchers get TJ. If the PA is concerned about this trend then negotiate a bonus for players who get TJ, maybe accelerate service time as well. If you get TJ you’re only under control for 5 years. It might incentivise teams to push back against...

    This is obviously bad for baseball and it needs to be fixed soon. I don’t see any trials being done in the minors.

    The ball would have to be deadened to prevent Judge from hitting 70HRs. But yeah, I think that’s the next logical reform to get pitchers to stop throwing at max effort.
