    This might not be the exact way the transactions match up, but I'm thinking of it as: Cooper for Dalbec Short for Hamilton Grissom for Valdez Smith for Yoshida With Smith understanding his time in The Show might be temporary.

    I'm thinking unrelated? Even with a healthy Grissom we need a backup SS. I think at the end of the day Hamilton/Dalbec/Valdez are replaced by Grissom/Cooper/Short? Short has experience at 3B. I like it.

    I’d guess that not hitting in AAA is much more correlated with not hitting in MLB than hitting in AAA is with hitting in MLB. Especially for a 28 year old.

    Citing his total MLB experience over the last two (or in many cases, three) seasons doesn’t seem like cherry picking to me, but YMMV. Smallish sample perhaps. But that’s a different thing.
