Yeah, part of the TV money gets distributed based on the number of live TV games you are featured in. Liverpool were on TV the most, so they made a bit more than City.
The variance is much lower than in some other leagues, though. Excluding the amount distributed because of league position, Liverpool got the most at 77 million, the teams at the bottom got 62-63 million, plus the relegated teams will get their parachute payments. In Spain, Barca and Real get so more money than anyone else, it's ridiculous.
