    The Unikornet

He does it in warmups before the game as well. I don't expect to seem him shoot any unless the clock is running out.

Current State of the O Line

The O-line didn't go south last year -- it firmed up decently as the season went on. But the QB and receiver play went south, making the offense offensive. One pundit called them "Average and forgettable", which looks about right to me. Here's the write-up: New England Patriots Trent...

Celtics vs Da Culture - Round 1 (FIGHT!)

Last night Gorman was the master of letting the game speak for itself. I was amused however that he flatly contradicted Scal on the question of whether the Celtics would get possession of the ball after the technical called on Bam after play had stopped. Scal said the Celts would get the...

    2024 Celtic Playoff Prediction Poll

Being forever the dour pessimist, I voted that they lose in the finals to Denver. Jokic is unstoppable when he is determined.

    2023-24 Celtics

I agree about OKC. In fact, I hope that they meet in the finals, for a couple of reasons: 1. OKC is a lot of fun to watch 2. OKC does not have Jokic.

    Pritchard Extended

Thank goodness they have him under contract for a while. It's now a very team-friendly deal.

    Pritchard Extended

Pritchard is so improved from last season it's ridiculous. I'm not used to see someone get both stronger and quicker, but has gained significantly in both ways. At the beginning of the season he would dribble into the paint near the basket and then seemingly have no idea what to do next. Now...

Following Former Celtics & Cs Nostalgia

Oddly, I was at the game when he collapsed. In that game -- and that game only -- he looked like Michael Jordan until he crumbled. Otherwise, he was very good but not great.

    2023-24 Celtics

I'm with you, and that's why watching even these last games against bad teams is appointment viewing. This team doesn't have Larry Bird or Kevin Garnett, but the overall talent 1 - 9 is about as good as any Celtics team I have seen. I keep thinking how much better Luke Kornet is than Greg...

    2023-24 Celtics

Denver would be a problem. I don't think any other team could beat them, although the Clippers could make it a series.

    Rate the Mayo Hire

Neutral. I don't see how we can rate this, especially since even last year he was not even the defensive coordinator - he shared that with Steve B. So I said "neutral". I eagerly await news on the hiring of the GM.

    12/20 Darken the Beam

As often happens, I watched the game last night and read the game thread today. Both were highly entertaining. The Globe used to say "The game's not over till the Globe's here". I feel that way about the game threads. They let me enjoy the game all over again. Thanks to all who contribute.

Jaylen Brown: Will he be enough in Year 8?

It's great to see that the big contract has not led to a diminished effort. He's going full blast on offense and defense, and he's still learning to play better.
