Can anyone make heads or tails of Monty's musical chairs? It's not like they played last night and guys need a rest.
Keep the backend guys fresh so they're not sitting too many games in a row. People will get hurt in the playoffs and they'll need to use their depth.
It's the front end of a back-to-back. Monty said they didn't want Poitras playing both, so it's load management for him. Steen has also sat for a few games so gets him back in. Tomorrow they'll probably reverse it.
On defense, when they've been healthy, Monty has pretty much rotated the 6 spot between Shattenkirk and Mitchell/Wotherspoon. It's not quite every-other but it's close.
Also - with the position the Bruins are in, they can afford to tinker with the lineup and figure out what does and doesn’t work.

This is heaven for me. It's the only way I can watch the B's when I'm stuck in my hellhole of a hotel room and can't access the xfinity Center Ice that I pay for.

I really don't understand how this team doesn't win 65 games a year. They are impossible to play against.

This game is showing me why I didn’t want to see them last playoffs….then came Florida. The B’s have not handled forechecking teams like this well. Grrr.
Any team in the playoffs is going to forecheck them hard. They gotta figure out how to deal with it.
