That someone is me! I’m in Philly flying into Boston, taking a bus up to Maine to drink a lot and fish with old friends.
The Sox are in Boston and the Nats are in town. It’s my not humble opinion that the Sox should win. And in a very convincing way, damnit!

I almost did this, because I was thinking about how we should be more appreciative of the team's effort this season. Among the news sites I check out every day is The Washington Post, and from their coverage they seem to be very pleased that the Nats are 18-18. Well, we're a game better than that, and when you consider all the terrible luck we've had with injuries, that's fairly amazing. So here's to promising futures to both teams, but hopefully our Sox's better days will start tonight with a WIN!

Boston teams need a shot in the arm right now. Start it off with the Sox and the Bs, then the Cs. I want to hear large roars from the crowd tonight due to both of the local teams playing excelling
out of their minds.

I'm mildly surprised Cora didn't find a way to get Dom Smith in the lineup. I know it is a LHP, but he is 3-4 in his career against P Corbin.

Well, so is seemingly everyone else in the league, based on Corbin's recent history.

(No, I did not actually research this and it is clear hyperbole)

Series 13: NATS vs SOX
Lost two to the Braves. Have to tip our hats.
It’s tough to top teams that stack up those stats.
Though failing on Sale Day made us shout “rats!”,
this team can respond (just like falling cats),
land on its feet, and avoid the loud splats.
Just get on base then keep using the bats,
so ponds don’t become our ducks’ habitats.
We love the Bruins, the Celts, and the Pats,
but we love the Red Sox most of all. That’s
why we meet up here in game-threads and chats,
conversing like good friends, fighting like brats,
and dropping rich pearls like aristocrats.
We’ve faith our team pulls themselves off the mats
to fight on at Fenway. Flatten the Nats!

I have survived the road-game-against-playoff-team section of our spring schedule, mostly by not watching the games because life intervened. What life intervened? you may ask.

Events, dear boy, events.

Gnow you Gnats

  2. CJ Abrams (L) SS
  3. Luis García Jr. (L) 2B
  4. Joey Meneses (R) 1B
  5. Jesse Winker (L) DH
  6. Keibert Ruiz (S) C
  7. Eddie Rosario (L) LF
  8. Trey Lipscomb (R) 3B
  9. Victor Robles (R) RF
Maybe it shows how delinquent I am at keeping up with baseball post-2018, but I don't recognize a single name in that lineup.

I remember Rosario from when he played for the Braves. He's the only one though.
