That's been my concern for a while, the goaltending was doing a great job of hiding the smoke and mirrors of their bad underlying numbers, coupled with Monty's inability to make adjustments and we're seeing more games like this as a result. 100% with you that doesn't bode well and they're in troubleI’m starting to worry that the poor underlyings might be catching up to them. Their 5v5 CF% and xG% are both under 50, and their PDO is 1.035. Those aren’t numbers that scream 75% point percentage, and really doesn’t bode well for the postseason.
Two minutes of the Caps being able to ice the puck with no repercussions.Oh fun, another "power play". What do those mean again?
Just half? The Bruins are playing like we are going to find out on Monday that half the guys had diarrhea.
It does happen a lot around the league.I can't think of a team with talent remotely close to this where basically the entire team can disappear for periods/games
I don't watch much non Bruins, so I guess. This is just so fucking annoying they are laying these eggs. Just going to chalk it up to midseason mehIt does happen a lot around the league.
Thinking the same thing. That would be Un-American and UnCanadianOvechkin won't catch Gretzky.
What was rare about the Bruins last year is that games like this really didn’t happen. But yeah every good team around the league has a few of these. Especially when they’re safely in a playoff spot and the the team that they’re playing needs to win or guys are going to get moved at the deadline.I don't watch much non Bruins, so I guess. Yup. Made the drive for literally nothing. They barely even had a scoring chance.I'm not sure there has been a 15 second stretch of this entire game that they outplayed the Caps. What a complete waste of an afternoon.
Yea, this is invoking the pre-deadline slumps of years past which they didn't have last year. Always seemed like guys were gripping the sticks too tight because potential trades were like the sword of Damocles hanging over them. (Though I'm not sure why that would be an issue this year, this team doesn't really have the ability or desire to make big moves right now.)What was rare about the Bruins last year is that games like this really didn’t happen. Basically the hockey version of the dog days. Not a lot of urgency given the standings. I expect them to get up for Tampa next game.Yea, this is invoking the pre-deadline slumps of years past which they didn't have last year. Nice. That's good timing by her...I’ve had a few beers and my wife told me she’s taking me on a surprise trip to Jamaica next month. Shitty game but life is damned good.
