I'm agnostic about whether he was right about this particular call. I think we all know that "directly overhead" is the most reliable angle. Is the answer putting a camera *under* the goal line. Or in the cross bar and in the posts at ice level?At least it's not the playoffs.

At least in the NHL, where money is not a problem, constructing goals with embedded cameras on the underside of the crossbar, looking directly down at the line would probably get this correct, especially if the refs were given a quick primer on the problem apparent in extrapolating information from angled cameras.I'm agnostic about whether he was right about this particular call.
