They're up 10 to 9 over the Bruins in high-danger chances (all situations). They're playing at least decently, but the Bruins have been pretty lucky tonight.Just watching the goal replays, seems like Vancouver hasn't shown up tonight. Strange one
I haven't really followed them closely at all, but the turn around seems to have started when Tocchet took over as coachWait, the Canucks have the best record in hockey? When the fuck did that all happen? If I'm being real, I thought they still sucked.
Yeah, stranger than fiction. They have some young players and The coach has done a decent job getting productivity from the team overall. The Vancouver fans are planning a riot again for this June.Wait, the Canucks have the best record in hockey? When the fuck did that all happen? If I'm being real, I thought they still sucked.
I actually checked their roster to see if he was there after a few of the recent "sitting on a guy" occurrences. Is it me or are Vancouver's defense masters of the Radko Gudas technique of just fucking tackling guys?
Yes Gudas technique or as it is more formally known “CroMagnon” defense. Is it me or are Vancouver's defense masters of the Radko Gudas technique of just fucking tackling guys?
Yessir! Keep going until they lose again in regulation.Ok, what is the protocol for thread starting after a win? I started this thread (my first ever) Do I start the next one?
Ok cool! You can count on me!Yessir! Keep going until they lose again in regulation.
Tbh, despite the W/L juggernautting, I think that's who they really are. A little thin in parts of the top 18, and stacked in goal.Still some rough edges to work out, 5v5 possession game still isn't quite there. But they cashed in early opportunities and Ullmark took care of the rest. Hugs.
Playing goal for the Sabres is rough.Surprised that this was only Ullmark's 7th career shutout. Swayman has that many since the start of last season and 12 for his career.
I was more surprised it was his first of the year, but then I remembered shutouts are hard. Especially in today's game.Surprised that this was only Ullmark's 7th career shutout. Swayman has that many since the start of last season and 12 for his career.
Yea, you're right on about that. They've been (barely) underwater on expected goals all year, but killing it on actual goals. But more of the point I had in mind was that in the two games they've been back from break they've been a bit disjointed 5v5, especially on breakouts and connecting passes in general. In other words I think they're still shaking off some rust.Tbh, despite the W/L juggernautting, I think that's who they really are. A little thin in parts of the top 18, and stacked in goal.
