such a great round - and a couple of close misses on the green too could be flirting with sub-60

Not able to watch live - but following on the shot tracker.

Um what happened on Tigers' 3rd shot on 18 (#9) - shows him 44'3" from the hole in the fairway, and his third shot is now 56' away from the hole back in the left fairway? Any help understanding would be great.

- edit: looks just like a shot tracker glitch?

That sounds weird he putted from off the green and got it to about 10 feet away for a birdie putt, which he made to finish with a 62.

Rory just stuck his tee shot on the par 3 14th to a couple of feet to go to -9.

Glitch. He putted up to a few feet, made birdie. Shoots 62.
Figured it had to be that or the absolute worst chip of the year. Great day and fun to see what Rory can do.

Rory is now -9 through 14, and it could have been better - missed birdie putts from 7', 10', and 12'. I would love to see the two of them in the final round on Sunday tied going into the day playing head to head.

The Scotty Cameron is back in the bag, and Tiger is now officially back. For the last 5-6 tournaments, Tiger has been amazing, except in one phase of his game, whether it be the driver, the putter, or the irons, it seems like every week, he's been great at 2 out of 3, but abysmal at the 3rd, and it's cost him the tournament. Mostly, it's been the putting, and now that he's back to his old trusted friend, if this is the putting we're going to see from Tiger, he's not going to just start winning again, he's going to start dominating again. If he ever won the BMW and then the Tour Championship and took home the 10mil, it would have to be one, if not, the greatest comeback in sports history.

He was dead last in SG putting, made only 34 feet of putts. I believe the longest putt he made was a 6 footer on 1 to save par.

Serious rain in PA. Could be unable to play today OR tomorrow. Which would mean, among other things, Rose wins the tournament, Spieth is out of the Tour Championship, and Xander’s Ryder Cup chances are dead.

Considering next week is a week off, don't you think they will do everything in their power to finish this tourney, even if it's on a Tuesday? Or is Tuesday play not allowed?

The tournament organizer said on the Golf Channel that Tuesday is not happening.

I guess, or maybe just a Tuesday start is not happening.
The possibility of a Tuesday finish also could be looming. If at least half the field finishes their final round by Monday, then PGA TOUR regulations dictate that the remainder of the field must also finish. If less than half the field finishes, then it would revert to the 54-hole leaderboard.

No way they play today in my opinion. I'm not far from Upper Darby and it is raining hard, it is wetter than wet. Tomorrow might be a miracle, too. Stinks to have rain-shortened 54 hole tourney for the playoffs.

The best part is that it means Spieth will be in violation of PGA rules for the year, and will face either a fine or suspension I am quite sure the tour will do the minimum they can do

Unless the suspensions is immediate, I think it’s kind of a big nothing. “A ‘major’ fine of at least $20k”. Yeah I think he can cover that ok.
Oh I am sure, and he'll probably just get a minor fine, but year as he has become the golden boy of golf, and is president of the PGA Tour player advisory panel it just provided me a bit of amusement

Maybe he shouldn’t have just assumed he was going to make the Tour Championship. He did it to himself and it’s 100% his fault.
