I love it when players cross themselves when leaving the mound.

In this context, Jesus disapproves of Booser enough to allow a solo HR. So what's going through his mind?

1) He communicates he's OK with that.

2) He communicates that he's thankful Jesus has gone easy on him, because since his last mound appearance, he's done some shit that's worth a 3 run homer.

3) He's Job-ian. And love Jesus anyway. Even though Jesus really should have made things scoreless for him.

I'm still amazed at how empty those stands are.

The Twins are making a serious run up the board in the NL central.

Was Fenway mostly empty on what would have been the 12th game of Morgan Magic?

The hell is happening today, Wong?
Slaten has put two balls in the dirt just inches past the plate. Wong can't reach up there without risking catcher's interference, so he's trying to catch them off the bounce. When your pitching staff is throwing breaking stuff, the spin on some of those pitches is going to result in them taking crazy hops.

And then in the past AB, Wong fielded two more out of the dirt.

Smith never even broke stride after he was tagged. Turned and kept running to the dugout.

I was just about to post about getting Mike Ford in place of Smith, then he smacked a double and I thought nevermind, then he was so incredibly slow that he it ran straight into an out, so:
Mike Ford?

There’s no more imaginary of a rule in baseball than the checked swing. It’s just based in vibes, and whether the base ump was paying attention.
