Blizzard was 2-3 with a homer (17), 2 steals (53), a walk, 2 runs & 3 RBI.

Ronaldo Hernandez was 1-2 with a double & 2 walks.

Christian Koss was 2-4 with 2 doubles.

Stephen Scott was 1-3 with a walk.

Dalbec finished the day 0-4 with 4 strikeouts.

So quickie update:

23-117 with 1 double, 1 triple & 7 homers, 21 walks & 51 strikeouts, slashing .197/.319/.402, .721 OPS (I think I botched the math on the slg earlier today).

37.0% strikeouts, 15.2% walks.

It's interesting that they're pitching Song every 5th day when other guys at that level pitch every week, but I guess they're trying to get some innings in this year so they can continue to build from a higher place for next year.

Fly out, then a groundball single by Ryan Clifford. Gilberto has a gun & almost threw Jett out at 3rd, but Clifford got to 2nd on the throw.

Struck out the next guy on 3 straight breaking balls.

Not used to actually watching these games lol. Song's delivery is a bit funky & he doesn't seem to always locate his pitches that well, & doesn't currently throw that hard, but he seems to have a good feel for pitching.

Kristian Campbell singled on a groundball up the middle in the 2nd. Seems to have a pretty decent approach.

2nd hitter hit a hard groundball that bounced off Song that 3B Karson Simas bare handed & made a nice play to throw out Jett Williams.

Last guy flew out to right on the 1st pitch.

Salem scored a couple runs in the top of the second to take a 2-1 lead. Hit & a steal for Alcantara, walk for Lira. RBI singles for Feliz & Asigen to give them a 2-1 lead.

Early allowed a solo homer in his 1st inning.

Song allowed an infield single to start the 4th. Nice diving play by Campbell, but Tyler Miller didn't get the room service bounced throw.

He did make a nice play on a squibber on the next play to get the lead runner at 2nd, though.

Other things I've learned listening to the broadcast:

*Ferguson still out with injury.
*Coffey got scratched yesterday cuz injury.
*Tyler Miller didn't play from Tuesday to Sunday in part because he went home to get his # retired from his high school.

Teel is a future contestant for worst Red Sox facial hair if he keeps the little mustache.

Hit a hard foul ball of his inner leg, but still battled & got out on a really hard groundout to 1st.

After Early, Franklin German pitched 2 innings & allowed a run on 1 hit, 1 walk & 2 wild pitches, striking out 3.

After that, they finally brought in Jedixson Paez.

JDE pitched 2 scoreless innings with a hit & 2 strikeouts. Didn't strike me as a particularly serious pitching prospect. Doesn't throw particularly fast, locate that well, or have particularly sharp shape to his breaking balls.

Nate Tellier in for the 8th.

I guess they're trying to make JDE a short reliever? Not really sure why you'd bring in a guy like Tellier in for the 8th in a close game rather than leaving JDE in.

He threw 38 pitches, 26 strikes.

Tellier walked a guy & then he stole 2nd. Teel hit the guy sliding head first right in the head, but he's ok.

Tellier turns his back to the plate & seems super slow to get the ball there. Won't blame Teel.
