Good to hear. I think he can play for them right now.

He could be great with Bergeron and Marchand (who wouldn't be?) but in terms of the Bruins, he's not the best fit with Spooner on the third line and for the playoffs, I'd imagine they'd prefer a veteran fourth line. JFK, for example, would fit better on the Spooner's line.In my limited viewings, I agree. He has a very high floor with his speed and his two way ability. Hopefully the skill translates though because the whole package would be a nice middle 6 NHLer.
I like him on Krejci's LW. I'd like to see them stay with Marchand-Bergeron-Backes, then have Bjork-Krejci-Pastrnak, and then Vatrano/Belesky-Spooner-Stafford. I think those work better, and Bjork will be more "protected" on Krejci's line. It would also give them a little more speed to pair with Pasta. He could be great with Bergeron and Marchand (who wouldn't be?) but in terms of the Bruins, he's not the best fit with Spooner on the third line and for the playoffs, I'd imagine they'd prefer a veteran fourth line. I know the scouting reports talk about a two way game with Bjork, and it's there, but he's small and in Hockey East was always geared toward offense. JFK seems like the easier player to play right now and I like Bjork more as a prospect/player.
It's a designed feature, not a bug. They used to have to wait a full year.In a related story, the league really needs to address the loophole with NCAA kids in the next CBA.
Yes, and not necessarily. By all reports, he wants to be a Bruin - but is weighing getting his degree and playing in the Olympics. So if Bjork doesn't sign with the Bruins during the playoffs, does that mean he's going back to ND? And if that's the case, he's probably going to Vesey the B's, right?
I think this is closest to reality. Bjork likes the Bruins organization, but the prospect of being a top line wing on Team USA with Bettman goat-fucking the rooting public of USA hockey is enticing, as is their chances at getting back to the NCAA tournament. By all accounts, Bjork is a great kid and is still only 20 years old. If he stays, I think it's still more likely he signs with the Bruins in April of next year, but the possibility of him Veseying the Bruins by definition goes up.Yes, and not necessarily. I knew that it wasn't a strict deadline, where the B's would lose him. What I meant was, there seems to be leverage for the Bruins by giving Bjork incentive to sign during the playoffs: he gets his feet wet in the NHL, he plays during the postseason, he starts his career now. Rather than signing during the summer. To me, that seems like a pretty big carrot to wave in front of a kid who wants to play hockey: jump into the playoffs, start your career now, earn cash, etc.The playoffs aren't a deadline for him to sign or anything. He can sign whenever he wants in the summer. It's more unlikely he signs as this drags out, but it's not a deadline like MLB or something.
He can still sign at the end of the school year next year, and join the Bruins in the playoffs then.I knew that it wasn't a strict deadline, where the B's would lose him. It seems to me (before reading what others have said about him liking the Bruins organization) that after that incentive is gone, it might be a tougher sign.
That was my point.
Signing an 2016-17 ELC hs got to be a strong incentive for signing now if he is going to sign at all.The playoffs aren't a deadline for him to sign or anything. He can sign whenever he wants in the summer. It's more unlikely he signs as this drags out, but it's not a deadline like MLB or something.

Wilkes-Barre had knocked them out last year, so it's nice for them to get some revenge. Winning 2 of 3 in WB was difficult, and great to see. McIntyre was en fuego though. Good to see that from him. Also good to see Heinen and DeBrusk leading the offense. The further they play on, the better it will be for all of them.Providence wins game 5 to advance. Heinen scored both Providence goals and McIntyre stopped 50 of 51.
I was in attendance for games 1 and 2 of this series. The Sea Dogs were by far the better team in both games, but Zboril wasn't too impressive in either game. He seemed to be playing passive in the defensive zone and drifting around the ice at times. He was on the second pairing in game 1 and then paired with Chabot for a bunch of game 2. Overall, he didn't stand out from what I saw.Jakub Zboril's St John Sea Dogs lead their playoff game 2-0 in the 2nd period. Game is being aired on NHL network.
Old friend Chris Bourque with both goals for Hershey. Quintessential AAAA player.P-Bruins lost in OT last night, 2-1, but outshot Hershey 40-15. Hopefully they have better luck the next two games.
Do you (or anybody else for that matter) know if there is any way to stream these games online?Old friend Chris Bourque with both goals for Hershey. Quintessential AAAA player.
