Teams win championships. It’s easy to look at this team and convince yourself they can’t do it. They aren’t talented enough without Bergeron and Krejci. They don’t have enough firepower, not enough stars, or scoring. 2011 reminds us that it’s an entire team that wins Stanley Cups. This Bruins team has a nuclear hot level goalie, one of the better defenses, and depth up front. They just came off an electric Game 7 win, while the Panthers stayed at home and did yoga stretches to stay loose.

Time for vengeance. Time for revenge. Time to send these fuckers to the golf course.

Get ready you, mother, for the big payback, hey (the big payback)

Dear Florida,

Hope you are having fun in your battle against invasive snakes. And congratulations on making it into Taylor Swift’s new album. You must be very happy that people finally know who you are. Sorry about the Heat losing in 5 games to the Celtics. That probably sucked for you.

It would also suck to get swept by the Bruins, as that would mean that your plane would have to fly all the way up to Boston just to fly back to Florida so you can play golf at one of your very plain, very flat courses circling a marina that has water on the right side of every hole. Instead, we will allow you to win one game and one game only, thus ensuring you are already in Florida for your final defeat, saving you the hassle of having to go back just to go back. Because no one really wants to go back to Florida.

In conclusion, fuck you, your gators, your horrible drinking water, your neckbeards, Mickey Mouse, red tide, Mac Jones’ hometown, and massive chlamydia outbreaks at your retirement communities. The symmetry of both of your teams losing to Boston in 5 games is too strong for karma to pass up, especially in light of, well, everything about Florida. Good luck, and don’t let the door hit you on the way to the summer.

Rip their heads off.

So since these aren't on NESN anymore, what's the best/least expensive streaming service to watch? Fubo?

Cheapest is probably Sling. You'll get both ESPN and TBS/TNT. You'll need an antenna for an ABC game, though. This my set up for now.

-Edit - I don't see any ABC games for this series yet, though.

Thanks. Unfortunately antenna isn't a great option for me.

Can always create a brand new gmail account, and use a credit card you have never used with google store to get yourself a 30 day free trial with youtubeTV.

Then I would go with the YTTV trial suggested by @Cotillion. It will run out before The Bruins reach the Final, though.

Fubo does you no good because they don't have TBS/TNT. MAX has it, though if you have that or want to sign up.

YTTV might be the winner. I like the UI more than Fubo's anyway. Thanks all!

Every Bruins Cup win in recent history featured an exhibition of great vengeance in the year directly following an exhibition of great shame. Just sayin'.

I guess there's your answer as to who is in the net tonight. Sway all the way it seems. If anything, this would've been a good time to stick Ullmark in and get Swayman an extra couple days of rest. Fuck it, he's playing so well just ride the hot hand.

The theme for this series is simple: there's a game to play, might as well win it. Nobody expects us to anyway.

His son was just born according to the team Twitter a couple of minutes ago. They’re hoping to get him to Florida by game time.
Well that sounds like pretty incredible news, congrats to the Carlo family.

Seriously? If you had left this morning, you would have had him there yesterday.
If all it takes to get back in time is 88mph, I could have saved all of us a lot of consternation and told you we'd win game 7 weeks beforehand.

Anyone else think of that movie every time their speedometer cruises passed that 88 threshold? One of these days, I'm going to be heading to Dunkin's and end up at a soda fountain.

I really wish the coach would just shut all these people up with the who will be in goal crap, only the dumbest of dumb F##k's would think it would be smart to put in Ulmark right now!

Swayman is the only reason they are even playing tonight, it should be his net until he chooses for it not to be, the coach shouldn't even get to make that call at this point imo! This he needs a rest crap is getting ridiculous, he is 20 something years old, he doesn't need a day off unless he says he is not ready to go!

Counterpoint:
Part of the reason Swayman has been so effective all year is he's had lots of both mental and physical rest. And Ullmark was certainly good enough to win game 2. And Swayman has never played this many games in a row. And had extra rest before 2 of the round 1 games.
Goaltending is a strength of this team. Use it to your advantage. Tell Swayman he has game 2 but what we need from him tonight is to give himself some recovery time. Reasonable minds can disagree and discuss why.
Or maybe I'm just the dumbest of dumb fucks. And oh by the way as an aside if you'd like to keep posting here I would suggest you make that your last post of that kind.

This is where I keep coming out. Swayman just finished a very intense series followed by a very short turnaround. He has been amazing, but Ullmark is pretty damn good too. Tonight is going to be a very tough game—let Swayman rest, let Ullmark shake off some rust, and Sway has Game 2 regardless.

The cradle of the game.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Lose G1 with Ullmark and get blasted for not riding the hot hand... is I guess better than losing G1 because you didn't give Sway a rest.

It seemed that Lindholm's long bank shot to Pasta the other night was a response to Toronto pinching their (gassed) Ds. Would like to see more of that if Florida comes out similarly aggressive.

Also, nice to see VGK bounced. Eff them.

I'm in this camp too. Another aspect of it for me is that if you wait until Sway has an off game to sit him you risk undermining his confidence and/or creating a goalie-controversy narrative.

I know it's unpopular but I'm in the Linus for G1 boat too. Sway has been nails, but Linus is also amazing.

I didnt mind riding Sway thru the Toronto series cuz he owned them all season and maybe that gave the B's/Sway a mental edge.

New series, fresh start, go back to basics on what worked all season.

I kind of agree, especially since the rotation is probably their biggest advantage in each series from here on out.

But, assuming Ullmark is going to be dealt, I can also see riding Swayman as much as possible to get him the experience of being THE GUY for the whole playoff run.

Is there any word on Peeke being ready to play? Seeing Shatty and Fortbort paired up when Fortbort has been out for so long is a bit concerning. I also think Peeke’s WTF’s per game is lower than either Fort or Shatty.

Linus makes sense from a logic standpoint (goaltending depth is a team strength, keep Linus engaged, let Sway rest, get the rotation going again, etc.), but Sway was so good in the Laffs series that I have a hard time arguing against giving him the start. It's a good problem to have.

With Swayman off the ice first today I assume he’s starting but I do hope Ullmark is game 2 and we see from there.

Ignore the noise from sports radio and be smart.

For as good as Swayman was against Toronto in the regular season (3-0, 1.30 GA/G (4), .959 SV%), Ullmark was just as good against Florida (3-0, 1.62 GA/G (5) .947 SV%).

At this point I don't think they can go wrong with either of them. I suspect we may see the G1 and G2 split again and then a decision made from there.

In the simulacrum
I'd like to see Ullmark for the reasons stated above and elsewhere:

Give Swayman the rest, since he's not going to get many other chances at rest.
It keeps Ullmark sharp, and to win the Stanley Cup, not just a few games, you'll likely need him at some point, not as a luxury.
Ullmark has been very good vs. FLA.
It saves face for everyone since there is an obvious, coherent team-centered reason to make this pivot for this game now.
It is game 1. The Bruins might be exhausted and run out of the building tonight. Ullmark's fresh legs might keep them in it.

I'm not going to be slamming my beer cans against the wall or anything if it is Swayman, I just think there is real value in what they do with these guys and I'd like to stick to it.

If this were the strategy, I’d rather Ullmark start G1. Mental break for Sway after an intense series and if you wait until G2 for Ullmark, that just adds an additional 48hrs since he’s seen game action.

Completely agree. If they lose 4-0 tonight going to Ullmark in game 2 scares me a ton after he had 2 weeks off.
