It's like a period long 5 on 5 power play. And the Bruins just can't put it in the open net.
I’m trying to focus on the fact that we ended the first with a lead, but goddamn we could just as easily be up by 3.
Ekman-Larsen is a bit of a high wire act. He has a heavy shot and helps them from the blue line, but he looks like he's always on the verge of over-pinching. He's either going to burn the Bruins or they are going to tag him for a 2 on 1 the other way.
Panthers' possession so far has been pretty empty... the Bs are protecting the house pretty well. NST has the Bruins at 49% expected goals 5v5 for that period, 1-2 high danger chances.
Strong first, should’ve buried more than one. Florida forechecking hard and we can’t clear the zone consistently. Luckily, Duncan swayman the walrus showed up again tonight

Better than games 5-7 of the Toronto series. Still failing to clear and giving up a lot of chances but after 90 games I’ve come to realize that’s just what this team does.

So - watching and rewatching and rererwatching the Marchand hit on Tchafuckface-- does he think that he is Stef Curry with the mouthguard just dangling from his lips?
I mean honestly through 4 periods both teams have had plenty of chances. Happy to have taken game 1 and be up in game 2 but this could go either way.
Agreed - and this is good to see after the last few games against Toronto where they couldn’t generate anything.
