I really don't know how common this is throughout baseball these days but to have German AND now Cordero is a bad trend.

Wondering if this is going to end up up more German (ie, will come back) or Bauer.

Not good either way.

This team is full of the least likeable characters in awhile. Hopefully his spouse is able to get whatever help she needs and is taken care of.

Was this something that had happened recently? No mention of the incident that prompted the suspension anywhere.

Next, when did the Yankees know about the incident? And yet they worked him up until this past Sunday.

Well, and Chapman. Though that didn’t happen while he was with NY.

Once something is under investigation, I don’t think the team can do anything, like sending him down or releasing him. I know they are not allowed to release him while he’s suspended.

Thanks! Sad for his family. We don't know what precipitated the investigation or who may have been hurt. Regardless, good to see MLB take a hard stand. The Yankees just follow suit with the proverbial legal disclaimer.

As a middle reliever and an interchangeable part, likely he has thrown his last pitch in MLB, at the very least for the Yankees.
