Until he announces it's going to Arlington so they can have 100% capacity. This is my favorite thing that Rob Manfred has done.
LA is still going to host it in 2022 so they said it won't be LA. Fenway hasn't hosted it in over 20 years.....They haven't announced where it's going, but it seems like a logical choice would be Los Angeles since that's where the game was supposed to be last year and wasn't, for obvious reasons.
Probably narrow it down to a ballpark whose home team will be on a long road trip just before the ASG so MLB can come in and have the run of the place for as long as possible. The Dodgers are home the 3 games before the ASB.They haven't announced where it's going, but it seems like a logical choice would be Los Angeles since that's where the game was supposed to be last year and wasn't, for obvious reasons.
The Sox are at home the weekend before the break as well, hosting the Phillies. Perhaps they can flip weekends as they're in Philly for three games in May.Probably narrow it down to a ballpark whose home team will be on a long road trip just before the ASG. I'm crossing my fingers it's not STL--we don't have a home game between July 1 and 15.
You shouldn't have edited your reply. Politics palsy is a perfect description of what has been happening for quite a few years.I doubt the Braves are all that devastated...this isn’t exactly the best year to be hosting!
They’ll be more than happy to let the politics play themselves out and take it another year when things are less Covidy.
They could agree to stop funding Georgia Republicans until the law is repealed, for one.Hopefully this will spur some of the major GA companies to take action also. Though not clear what they can do after the fact of the bill passing.
Apparently the Braves are upset about this and have already released a statement. Kinda rich that they are concerned about the impact on Atlanta when they fled the city for theI doubt the Braves are all that devastated...this isn’t exactly the best year to be hosting!

You could probably say the same for how much the Madison Cawthorn voters cared about Charlotte losing the NBA All-Star Game when the NC bathroom bill got passed. But they're not the target. If businesses that fund Republicans start feeling the pinch, they will be sure to let their purchased officials know. And the Kemp-supporting Braves' owners are a good place to start.I mean, I get it...the law is an affront to the entire country. But I'm not sure how much the knuckledraggers that elected Marjorie Taylor-Greene give a shit about cobalt blue Atlanta--they very people who elected a large percentage of those legislators who voted against the law.
Fenway is a tough choice, parking-wise.LA is still going to host it in 2022 so they said it won't be LA. Fenway hasn't hosted it in over 20 years.....
That's why it's perfect if you do limited capacityFenway is a tough choice, parking-wise.
The unBraves could have used this as an opportunity to show some resolve, solidarity, and social awareness. Nope.Apparently the Braves are upset about this and have already released a statement. Kinda rich that they are concerned about the impact on Atlanta when they fled the city for thewhitermore affluent suburbs for their new ballpark.

Well, we hadn’t won a World Series then, but I’m sure it was still pretty bad.Not much better 22 years ago, I don’t recall many complaints
Hell, they moved out of Atlanta proper to get away from the brown people.
I've been a bit work busy this afternoon and I'm not on Facebook so I don't know how much I can tell you right now. Personally, I'm happy they did this. I'm sure the mouth breathers in the area are upset.Looking forward to the perspective of @absintheofmalaise Our guy lives in the area and would have great insight on this.
When you say “Braves Owner”, who are you actually talking about, because as best I can tell they’re owned by Liberty Media...?And the Braves owner gave $250K to the Trump inauguration and many, many thousands to Rs in the last cycle. He can go to hell.
