Travis Kelce defender?Joejuan Williams was a binkie of mine. He is a guy you can staple to a TE or big slot and he has the CoD to keep up. I think he is a great secondary piece. I absolutely love this pick. I do not think this will be a popular one.
Here's his post in the #32 pick thread.@Super Nomario nails it.
JoeJuan Williams... love it.

The rest of the league wants to go lighter and faster? That's great, our 250-pound LBs will maul the crap out of your receivers at the line, and good luck tackling our new 228-pound WR with linebackers who weigh about the same. If they add 6'4", 211-pound CB Joejuan Williams tonight, as rumored, it will be more along these lines.
so Bill would have used a first rounder on this guy?Ian Rapoport @RapSheet 7s7 seconds ago
The #Patriots in the second round take #Vandy CB Joejuan Williams — it was down to him and N’Keal Harry at No. 32. They trade up and get both. High character guy… who told me Wednesday night his top choice was going to the #Patriots.
You do realize that our opponents have to throw a ton on us?Hookay - didn't take long for a BB head scratcher. With all our needs, we have plenty of DBs
BB said earlier about needing to defend all the big guys coming into the league but part 2 of that is also yes they have had trouble with covering those guys. Now they have a guy who is huge and has a 4.01 shuttle and 6.84 3-cone and plays like it too. This makes their deep secondary even better. I could make sweet love to this pick. Now part of that is the whiskey flowing in me right now during this Draftmas holiday...Travis Kelce defender?
It’s Revis and Browner all over againBB said earlier about needing to defend all the big guys coming into the league but part 2 of that is also yes they have had trouble with covering those guys. Do you see him as a guy that can cover TEs in addition to playing on the outside? I can get excited about that. JC Jackson pretty clearly isn't that guy - good on the outside but lacking the quickness to handle coverage in the middle of the field.BB said earlier about needing to defend all the big guys coming into the league but part 2 of that is also yes they have had trouble with covering those guys. I wanted this guy too, so you aren't alone. Not an overdraft. A great physical specimen to cover some of the bigger bodies like Kelce, but also to yang the league's offensive skill players ying of going thinner and smaller, and he moves a bit faster than most his size for the position. You do that, and you're going to hit this brick wall where our power, size, and strength beats you. Hips as a concern is historically low on my list of items that could concern me if you want to talk downside.Joejuan Williams was a binkie of mine. Williams could be a matchup on a big TE as well. A nice chess piece to have.Like the player, don't like paying a reasonably high price to trade up for someone who doesn't address a need. I think Joejuan could make an immediate impact as rookie as a matchup guy, but they are pretty stacked at CB.
Apparently. You disagree?so Bill would have used a first rounder on this guy?
In Bill we trust
I kind of saw that game because I was watching A.J. Brown ... but it was crazy seeing Brown destroy the other Vandy CB and then when they switched Williams on him, Williams locked him down (Brown did get him on a 30-yard contested one at one point, but Williams won that battle). And he had a big pick late, and the game-winning PBU.I studied his Ole Miss game earlier this week. It was an uneven performance and I see him as a project. He does some special stuff at his size, but he also had some problems with Lodge. He's a true junior and young, so the potential is there. I don't think he plays much this year, but he's an interesting guy down the road. I have no issue with the pick. Go for special when you can, he's got some special qualities.
Wouldn’t the opposite be true? As it gets harder to play corner the very good ones are more valuable, not less.My only concern with DB value is as the rules keep shifting in the offense's favor the iterative benefit to having an elite corner decreases. Of course during the playoffs the refs certainly let a little more contact go uncalled, so there's that...
