Dominguez expected back July or August last I heard, that’s really going to be exciting.

That is 11 guys, Peraza and Cabrera also on the bench.

All of Soto, Gleyber, Rizzo and Verdugo are in their contract years. NY has a $17M option on Rizzo for 2025 ($6M buyout), the other three will all be FAs.

And NY doesn't 'need' to bring any back like they did Judge last year if they don't want, Dominguez and Pereira and Jones and Peraza and Arias waiting for their shots behind them (DJ would go to 1B without Rizzo). Stanton still has three more years after this, but he is also desperately in need of a better season to save his career.

Is Verdugo really the best option leading off against RHP? He isn't the best OBP guy.

Verdugo has a lot of experience leading off, Judge will get more to hit with Soto behind him.
