January transfer news is already coming out of Spain:
Juan Miranda is apparently off to join Christian Pulisic and Yunus Musah at AC Milan. Milan beat Napoli to the punch on this one, and the rumored 2 million Euro fee is really affordable for the Real Betis left back. Deal is expected to be signed in January with the move taking place over the summer.
Ditto with Bryan Zaragoza. He has had quite the rapid rise, going from relative unknown at Granada to Spain international to the newest Bayern Munich signing in a matter of months. He's an absolutely electric winger who came up through the Granada academy. I was hoping he would stay in Spain for another year or two because he's so fun to watch, but so it goes.
La Liga has given Barcelona permission to spend some extra cash after the terrible Gavi injury. They are using the funds to bring Vitor Roque from Atletico Paranaense early. He was set to do so next summer, but Barcelona have elected to have him join the club sooner with the new financial flexibility. This might say something about the form of Robert Lewandowski than anything else.
Don't expect Real Madrid to make any moves this winter despite their injury crisis. They signed a bunch of their younger stars to new contracts recently- Vini Jr., Rodrygo, Valverde, Camavinga- but the policy under Florentino Perez has been to make no moves in January due to the inflated prices. I do wonder if maybe we will have some insight on where Mbappe will end up this summer. Any club hoping to sign young star Nico Williams in January can cross him off their wish list. He signed a new contract with Athletic Bilbao this week and would have otherwise been available on a free.
