I wonder who will pitch the last game for Portland. Kind of hoping for Bastardo who hasn't pitched in like 10 days or Dobbins who started Tuesday, but expecting CJ Liu who pitched last Saturday.

For Worcester I think it's Drohan's turn. He last pitched Tuesday in a bulk role...3.2 innings, 0 runs, 0 hits...7 walks.

& I believe they said the plan was for Kelly to pitch b2b games this weekend, so maybe he'll be opening.

Wow you aren't kidding, 14-2 now top 7, though Liu looking like he's struggling in what I assume is his 2nd inning of work.

17-2 now in bottom 7 after three bases loaded walks in a row. Portland has 11 hits and I believe I heard only 1 for extra bases.

A couple more hits to 19-2, then Yorke Ks to end the inning with bases still loaded. They've batted around in 3 innings today, 1 run off matching the franchise record.

Troye works around a couple early walks with a couple Ks for a scoreless, if inefficient, top 8th.

Alex Erro, who I guess got the start over Teel and is now 4-5 today, doubles in Meidroth and it's 20-2.

And the Tylers go 2-run single (Dearden), 2-run HR (Esplin) for 24-2.

Portland won 24-2.

They only scored in 4 innings, but in those innings they got 5, 5, 5 & 9.

Hunter Dobbins started & only allowed 1 base runner in 4 innings - a solo homer in the 4th. He struck out 8.

CJ Liu came in & allowed 1 run in 3 innings on 4 hits & a walk, striking out 3.

As Simplicio mentioned, Troye had 2 walks & 2 strikeouts in a scoreless 8th.

Brendan Cellucci pitched a 1-2-3 9th with a strikeout.

Tyler Esplin was 4-6 & had a homer, a double, 3 runs & 7 RBI. That was 2 of their 3 xbh.

Alex Erro was 4-5 with a walk, 4 runs & 5 RBI. He had the other xbh, a double.

ROMAN was 3-4 with a HBP before coming out & calling it a season. That reminds me - I'll do some final stats for some guys. Might wait until after Worcester's season.

Tyler Dearden was 3-5 with a HBP, 3 runs & 6 RBI.

Phillip Sikes was 1-3 with 4 walks, 4 runs & his 39th steal.

Meidroth was 0-2 with 4 walks & 3 steals.

Yorke was 1-5 with a HBP.

Binelas was 0-3 with 3 walks.

Hickey was 0-4 with 2 walks.

Shane Drohan got lit up, but Worcester still won 11-5.

Drohan got 2 outs, but allowed 3 hits, a walk, & 3 runs.

Oddanier Mosqueda got out all 4 hitters he faced, striking out 1.

Zack Kelly pitched a 1-2-3 inning with a strikeout.

Bryan Mata got his 1st appearance in a long time. It didn't go great - 0.2 innings, 1 run on 2 hits & a walk, 1 strikeout. I'll find some stuff on how he looked a bit later.

Justin Hagenman allowed a run in 2.2 innings on 2 hits & 2 walks, striking out 1.

Luis Guerrero faced 4 hitters, walking 1 of them & striking out 3 of them.

Joe Jacques pitched a 1-2-3 8th with 2 strikeouts.

Andrew Politi allowed a walk in a scoreless 9th.

Casey Cobb came in a cobbled together a 1-2-3 7th with 2 strikeouts.

Franklin German, playoff ringer, pitched a scoreless 8th with a walk & 3 strikeouts.

Felix Cepeda allowed a hit & hit a guy, but pitched a scoreless 9th for the save.

Game 2 will be Tuesday in Greenville with Dalton Rogers scheduled to pitch.

Game 3, if necessary would be on Wednesday in Greenville with YORDANNY scheduled to pitch.

It's soooo problematic that Perales & Yordanny are awesome & in high-A.
